The Golden Temple, India

The Golden Temple, known in India as Harmandir Sahib, a Sikh temple is located in the Indian city of Amritsar near the Pakistan border (in the state of Punjab).
Most Sikhs visit it at least once in their life, especially during special occasions like birth, birthdays and marriage.
It was in 1577 that Guru Ram Das dug a pit on the current site of the temple, which is currently the artificial lake surrounding the temple. This lake is called "Amritsar", which means "pool of nectar", and is now the name of the city where you are. Construction of the temple began in 1588 by Guru Arjan Dev.

El Templo Dorado, conocido en la India como Harmandir Sahib, es un templo sij ubicado en la localidad india de Amritsar, cerca de la frontera pakistaní (en el estado de Panyab).
La mayoría de los sijs lo visita por lo menos una vez en su vida, especialmente durante ocasiones especiales como alumbramiento, cumpleaños y matrimonio.
Fue en 1577 que Gurú Ram Das cavó un foso en el actual sitio del templo, que actualmente es el lago artificial que rodea al templo. Este lago es llamado "Amritsar", que significa "piscina de néctar", y que es actualmente el nombre de la ciudad donde se encuentra. La construcción del templo se inició en 1588 por el Gurú Arjan Dev.
